Given that the fashion pack's sweet of choice is currently the macaroon. (formerly the cupcake - listen up those of you still covered in frosting) There was no better match then the colors of the brightly colored egg-y treats and Mary Katrantzou's catwalk SS11 show. Fab. The make-up artist used the mini treats as a color inspiration for the pastel pop eye shadows displayed on models this season.....
To me, this was one of the highlights of this season. Both in shape and color. Completely refreshing and a fantastic take on the new SS trends. I have to warn you, takes a strong and confident person to pull off the lampshade skirt. But I am pleased to see Brown Thomas buyers were on the ball and picked up the skirt shape for the Spring summer shows. So you can pop into Dublin and see it for yourself!
